Users Cannot See Emails

No Active or Closed Volumes Available

Zero Doc Count

There is a zero doc count in your volumes. Your index could be deleted or corrupted in which case, you may need to reindex.

Searching Using Wrong Date Criteria

When searching MailArchiva defaults to the past three months only. If you have just imported some mails, the sent dates may be older than the specified dates and thus the mails are not showing up. To resolve, switch the date to "archive date" in the search screen and reattempt search.

Local Domains Not Specified

End-users will not be able to see their own emails, if all the local domains are not specified in the Domains configuration. Make sure you specify all company domains.

ProxyAddresses Attribute Missing

Once a user is authenticated against Active Directory and assigned a role according to the defined role mapping, MailArchiva retrieves the user's email addresses in the proxyAddresses LDAP attribute. Exchange typically stores all the user's email addresses in this LDAP attribute. When performing a search query, MailArchiva will filter out all emails that are not included in the proxyAddresses attribute.

The proxyAddresses attribute may not exist if you are using a mail server other than Exchange but are still authentication with AD. In such a scenario, MailArchiva may not be able to locate the user's email addresses since the proxyAddresses LDAP attribute does not exist.

If your end users are able to locate their emails and you are using another mail server other than Exchange and the email addresses are stored in a different LDAP attribute other than proxyAddresses, you may need to switch the mail attribute to be the name of the attribute where your mail server stores email addresses.
